Assigned area task Bicester, Northampton, Caxton Gibbet, Stony Stratford, Bicester 2hrs, Min 120km, Max 238km

Indifferent day. Electronics got so hot on the grid that the vario stopped working. Had to follow a lot of people into climbs. Watched the Nimbus 3 come past like a rocket ship, (into a field - now that’s funny!) The last climb of the day was a ballistic 9.5knots to 6000 ft, lots of hay in the thermal and gave the opportunity to go to the furthest point of the last area and come back like a rocket. Good fun, but really difficult without the right equipment
